Kim Woo-taek, CEO of major Korean film production and distribution company Next Entertainment World, has been named one of the advisors and consultants for the Asian Film Market to be held in October this year.

The film market, which is a comprehensive marketplace for an array of industry events at the annual Busan International Film Festival, announced the list of advisors to this year’s edition on Tuesday.

The names on the list include Choi Jae-won of Withus Film, who produced this year’s box office hit “The Attorney,” and Ahn Dong-gyu, who runs Ahnsworld, which produced director Jang Hoon’s film “Secret Union” in 2009. Kim’s NEW recently distributed some of the biggest local commercial hits, including last year’s “Miracle in Cell No. 7” and “The Attorney.”

Jeong Sang-jin, who runs art house theater Art Nine and production and distribution company ATNINE FILM, also made the list.

A total of four advisors from overseas are participating this year. One is Hiromi Aihara, who runs Bewiz, a Japanese company which has been co-coordinating Japanese cinema for several festivals including Toronto and Rotterdam. Taiwanese producer Chang Sanling and Lee Yein Teng from Malaysian TV station Astro have also been included.

This year’s Asian Film Market runs from Oct. 5 to 8, while the 19th Busan International Film Festival runs from Oct. 2 to 11.
