Hollywood stars Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult are set to walk the aisle, the U.S. entertainment news Hollywood Life reported on Thursday.
The media outlet reported that Hoult proposed to the “Hunger Games” star in front of her family over Christmas after the on-and-off couple confirmed they were back together.
“All the family had gathered in the living room, enjoying the night before Christmas when Nick asked for everyone’s attention and began giving a speech to Jennifer,” the report quoted a source as saying.
It went on to say that he knelt down and pulled the ring worth about $250,000 out of his pocket and asked her to marry him. The actress reportedly cried and screamed out as she accepted.
The source explained that the couple had not announced the news because “Jennifer likes to live a relatively modest private life. She knows news of her engagement will make that harder, if not impossible.” The couple plans to wed in 2015 as they both have movies booked until next year, it reported.
Shortly after Hollywood Life broke the news, another U.S. media outlet Gossip Cop dismissed the report, citing another source close to Lawrence, who told the media outlet, “This is completely untrue.”
“About a Boy” star Hault and “American Hustle” heroine Lawrence saw progress in their relationship while starring together in the film “X-Men: First Class,” released in 2011.
