The new diesel chief joined the Korean unit of the German auto parts maker in 1995 to lead the production team of the antilock braking system, or ABS. In 2004, he was also dispatched to Germany to oversee the CP3 diesel systems at the company’s Feuerbach plant.

Since 2007, he has served as managing director of the diesel systems division in Korea.
