검은사막, 베타 테스터 모집 폭발적 반응 "어떤 게임이길래?"

펄어비스가 개발하고 다음커뮤니케이션이 유통을 담당한 MMORPG(다중접속역할수행게임) ‘검은사막’이 비공개 테스트(CBT) 참가자를 모집한다.

1일 다음에 따르면 ‘검은사막’의 1차 CBT는 총 5000명을 대상으로 진행된다. 1일 오후 2시부터 10일 오전 10시까지 신청을 완료한 회원 가운데 5000명을 추첨해 선발하며, 만 18세 이상인 회원만 테스터로 참여할 수 있다.

신청을 원하는 이들은 ‘검은사막’ 홈페이지(black.daum.net)에서 다음 아이디로 로그인 후, 사양 체크 및 설문 조사를 거치면 테스터 신청이 완료된다. 당첨자는 11일 공식 홈페이지를 통해 확인할 수 있다.

1차 CBT는 17일부터 23일까지 일주일간 진행된다. 1레벨부터 40레벨까지의 콘텐츠가 공개되며, 워리어, 레인저, 자이언트, 소서러 등 대표 캐릭터와 발레노스, 세렌디아 지역의 콘텐츠를 경험해볼 수 있다. 또 270여개의 퀘스트와 전투, 탈것, 레이드, PK(Player Kill), 공성전 등 ‘검은사막’의 주요 콘텐츠와 재미 요소도 체험 가능하다.

한편 ‘검은사막’은 블랙스톤 쟁탈을 축으로 한 MMORPG로, 힘과 부의 원천을 둘러싼 반목과 대립이 오픈월드에서 펼쳐지는 게임이다.

‘Black Desert’ looking for beta testers

”Black Desert,” a South Korean multiplayer online game, is looking for gamers to participate in its first closed beta tests planned for Oct. 17, the game’s distributor Daum Communications said Tuesday.

The massive multiplayer online role-playing game was developed by Pearl Abyss.

According to Daum, anyone over the age of 18 who wishes to participate in the test can apply on the “Black Desert” website (black.daum.net) from 2 p.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. next Thursday. A Daum ID is required for application.

Operators will randomly select a total of 5,000 testers and announce them next Friday.

During the beta test running from Oct. 17 to 23, players can enjoy up to 270 quests and other features such as battles, raids, player killing and castle siege.

Pearl Abyss said on its website that the game is “a large scale sandbox-oriented MMORPG” that allows users to explore in many different ways.

In the game, players will venture into the Republic of Calpheon and the Kingdom of Valencia, two fictional countries in stark contrast to each other. Testers choose among warrior, ranger, giant and sorceress as their character and can play until level 40.
