1년전 사라진 삼성 올레드TV 발견, 범인은...

지난해 8월 독일에서 열린 'IFA 2012'에 전시하 기 위해 수송하다가 사라진 삼성전자의 올레드(OLED·유기발광다이오드) TV 2대가 올해 중순 발견된 것으로 1일 알려졌다.

    삼성전자가 현지에서 고용한 사설탐정이 사라진 올레드 TV를 독일 모처에서  찾 아냈으나 범인의 행방은 묘연한 상태다.

    발견 당시 올레드 TV가 담긴 종이 상자는 뜯겨 있었지만, 제품 자체에는 훼손이 없는 것으로 알려졌다.

    제품을 되찾았음에도 삼성전자는 독일 경찰에 의뢰한 수사를 이어갈 방침이다.

이번 사건이 기술 유출 문제와 연관됐을 가능성도 있기 때문이다.

    삼성전자는 올레드 TV를 찾은 장소와 경위 등 구체적인 상황에 대해서는 밝히지 않고 있다.

    삼성전자는 지난해 베를린에서 열린 유럽 최대 가전제품 전시회 'IFA(Internati onale Funkausstellung) 2012'에 전시할 예정이던 올레드 TV 60대 가운데 2대를  운 송과정 중 도난당했다고 독일과 한국 경찰에 각각 신고했다.

    이 사건을 담당한 경기경찰청 산업기술유출수사대는 수사결과 독일  프랑크푸르 트 공항에서 베를린 전시장까지 육로로 이동하는 과정에서 도난당했을 가능성이  크 다고 밝혔다.

Missing Samsung TVs discovered in Germany

Samsung Electronics Co.'s organic light-emitting diode (OLED) televisions that disappeared during their delivery to the IFA electronics trade show in Berlin last year have recently been discovered in Germany, company officials said Sunday, adding that local police are looking into the case for its possible link to a technology leak.

Two of Samsung's 60 display OLED TV sets went missing after being shipped from the company's plant in Suwon south of Seoul to the site of the IFA 2012 in Germany in August last year.

At that time, police suspected that the televisions went missing during their land transportation from an international airport in Frankfurt to Berlin.

According to the officials, private detectives hired by Samsung discovered the two televisions at an unidentified location in Germany earlier this year but failed to find any clues to the perpetrator or perpetrators.

At the time of their retrieval, the paper boxes containing the televisions were ripped open, but the products themselves were not damaged, they explained.

Despite the retrieval of the televisions, Samsung will ask the German police to continue their investigation into the case, due to the possibility of its link to a technology leak, they noted. (Yonhap news)
