G-Dragon, the notorious leader of one the nation’s most popular boy bands, Big Bang, will release his highly anticipated second solo album “Coup d’etat” on Sept. 2, according to representatives at YG Entertainment.

Coming more than four years after the release of the debut solo album “Heartbreaker,” the upcoming second solo album was initially scheduled to be released this month to celebrate the singer’s birthday and to mark the anniversary of the release of his debut solo album in 2009. However, the release had been pushed back due to production delays. YG released the final teaser image of the new album on Monday, publicizing its official release date.

“Coup d’etat” will feature tracks written and composed by the singer himself and a collaborative single with American hip-hop artist Missy Elliot, a five-time Grammy-winning rapper and the only female hip-hop artist with six platinum records.

G-Dragon will unveil one of his new singles at his upcoming Seoul concerts, “One of a Kind: The Final,” at Olympic Park on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.
