Actor Park Si-hoo, who was accused of raping a woman earlier this month, formally requested on Monday that his case be transferred to Gangnam Police Station. He had postponed his summons for police questioning on Sunday.

“After observing the progress of Park Si-hoo’s case, our law firm has come to realize that the investigative process has considerable flaws,” Purme, a law firm representing Park, said in an official statement.

The law firm claimed that the actor’s reputation has bee tarnished by distribution of false information and “play-by-play” coverage by the media.

Park’s legal representatives added that they planned to submit petitions to the National Police Agency and Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

Seobu Police Station said there was no legal reason for the case to be handed over to another station.

The well-known hallyu star was accused of raping a 22-year-old woman on Feb. 15. The alleged victim said the 36-year-old actor raped her while she was passed out.

The rape accusation took the country by storm, with conflicting media reports and testimonies emerging.

Last Friday, police sent the victim’s blood sample for a drug test, leading some media to interpret the move as a sign that police believe drugs might have been involved.

박시후,  “강남경찰서로 사건 넘겨줘"

연예인 지망생을 성폭행한 혐의로 피소된 탤런트 박시후(35)씨가 24일 경찰 출석을 또 연기했다. 강제추행 혐의로 피소된 동료 연예인 김모씨도 경찰에 출석하지 않았다.

경찰과 법무법인 푸르메에 따르면 박씨와 김씨 측은 이날 오후 7시로 예정된 서울 서부경찰서의 소환 조사에 응하지 않고 강남경찰서로 해당 사건을 이송해달라는 요청서를 서부경찰서에 제출했다.

이들의 당초 변호인은 이날 오후 경찰에 사임을 통보했다. 이들은 법무법인 푸르메를 새로 선임했다.

푸르메 관계자는 ”박씨와 김씨는 절차상의 문제로 부득이하게 피의자 신문을 받을 수 없게 된 것“이라며 ”이 사건은 고소사건이므로 강남경찰서로 이송돼야 함이 합당하다고 판단해 신청서를 접수했다“라고 말했다.

이에 대해 경찰 관계자는 ”이 사건은 피해자가 먼저 경찰에 상담을 요청했고 이후 경찰이 절차를 안내해 고소장을 접수한 인지사건이므로 이송 대상이 아니다“라며 ”이미 수사가 어느 정도 진행됐고 서부경찰서가 맡는 것이 법적으로 아무 문제가 없어 사건을 다른 곳으로 이송할 계획은 없다“라고 밝혔다.

이 관계자는 ”이번 주 중 박씨와 김씨를 소환할 수 있도록 내일 다시 출석 요구서를 보낼 것“이라고 말했다.

박씨는 지난 15일 오전 2시께 김씨의 소개로 만난 연예인 지망 여성 A씨를 성폭행한 혐의(강간)를, 당시 동석한 김씨는 A씨를 강제추행한 혐의를 각각 받고 있다.

A씨는 술에 취한 상태에서 박씨에게 성폭행을 당했다며 경찰에 고소하면서 김씨도 함께 고소한 것으로 알려졌다.

경찰은 사건 직후 고소인의 머리카락, 혈액 등을 채취해 국립과학수사연구원에 분석을 의뢰했으며 사건 당일 이들이 찍힌 술집, 주차장 등의 CC(폐쇄회로)TV를 확보해 조사하고 있다.

박씨 측은 ”함께 술자리를 갖는 과정에서 서로 호감을 느끼고 마음을 나눈 것이며 팬들이 우려하는 위력 행사는 없었다“며 성폭행 혐의를 부인했다. (연합뉴스)
