원더걸스의 리더 선예(23, 본명 민선예)가 26일 오전 서울 소공동 롯데호텔에서 웨딩마치를 올렸다.
선예는 아이티에서 봉사활동으로 만나 교제를 시작한 캐나다 교포 선교사 제임스 박 결혼했다.
“오늘은 제게 있어 굉장히 행복하고 가슴 떨리는 날이다”고 기자 회견에서 말했다.
"삶을 살아가는데 있어 많은 조건들이 있다. 하지만, 외적인 것들 때문에 삶의 핵심을 바꾸지는 않았으면 좋겠다. 결혼이라는 것은 저에게 삶의 방향과 시작점이다. 다가오는 여자 연예인들의 결혼식을 앞서 축하하고 싶다"고 전했다.
결혼식은 비공개로 진행됐으며 사회는 2AM멤버 조권이 맡았다. 결혼식에는 원더걸스 멤버 유빈, 소희, 예은, 혜림, 소녀시대의 서현, 티파니, 윤아, 수영, 2AM 멤버 조권, 슬옹, 창민, 진운, JYP엔터테인먼트 대표 박진영 등이 참셕해 자리를 빛내줬다.
민예와 제임스 박은 몰디브로 신혼여행을 다녀온 후 신혼살림을 캐나다에서 차릴 예정이다. “언제 원더걸스로 돌아와 활동할지 모르지만. 노래는 평생을 두고 할 것이다”고 전했다. (코리아헤럴드)

Wonder Girls’ Sun-ye marries missionary boyfriend

Min Sun-ye, leader of popular K-pop girl group Wonder Girls, married her boyfriend of two years on Saturday at Lotte Hotel in downtown Seoul.
The 23-year-old singer married James Park, a Korean-Canadian missionary, on the day without disclosing the marital ceremony. The pair met two years ago while volunteering in earthquake-stricken Haiti.
“Today is a very happy but at the same time a nerve-breaking day for me,” the bride said at a press conference held before the nuptials.
When asked whether she would like to share a word with other girl-group members about marriage and life beyond showbiz, she said, “There are many conditions in living a life. But I hope people wouldn’t change the core part of their life over external issues. Marriage is another choice I have made. I would like to congratulate many other female stars in advance for their marriages to come.”
The ceremony was hosted by Jo Kwon, member of boy band 2AM and Min’s friend of 12 years, and a Protestant minister married the couple. The wedding was a star-studded event with fellow Wonder Girls Yu-bin, So-hee, Ye-eun and Hye-lim, Seo-hyun, Tiffany, Yoon-a and Soo-young from Girls’ Generation; Jo Kwon, Seu-long, Chang-min and Jin-woon from 2AM; producer Park Jin-young and others.
Min and Park are taking their honeymoon in the Maldives and will move to Canada.
“I don’t know when I will be back as Wonder Girls, but singing will be a lifetime thing for me,” she said.
