Korean pop sensation Psy canceled his scheduled departure to Thailand on Tuesday due to accumulated fatigue, his domestic management company said.

The 34-year-old rapper was supposed to leave for Thailand on Tuesday afternoon but decided not to board a plane bound for the country due to "bad conditions," an official from the management company said.

"He has to leave anyway to attend press conferences and performances scheduled for Wednesday in Bangkok but we cannot say what exact time he will leave ... Psy is currently taking some rest," he said.

Psy is scheduled to join "Extra Live Festival," which will be held in time for Loy Krathong, one of the largest traditional festivals in Thailand. After that, he will leave for Macau for a performance. 

The rapper, whose given name is Park Jae-sang, rocketed to global fame after the video of his hit single "Gangnam Style" went viral online with his signature horse-riding dance. 

The video has drawn 40 million YouTube hits in Thailand, making it the country with the second-highest number of views after the United States with 150 million. (Yonhap News)
