The Korean Air Force aerobatics team Black Eagles won first prize in the display category of the Waddington International Air Show, the Air Force announced Tuesday.

The Black Eagles is the Air Force’s official flight display team that operates the locally developed T-50 trainer jets.

The Waddington International Air Show is the largest air show organized by the U.K.’s Royal Air Force, and the first international event the Black Eagles participated in.

According to the Air Force, the display competition is judged by a panel of experienced pilots who judge the teams on a number of criteria including teamwork, audience response and adherence to British air show standards.

“It is an honor to show the world the Korean Air Force’s skills. We will continue to show stable and splendid maneuvers in upcoming air shows,” Lieutenant Colonel Kim Young-hwa said.

The Black Eagles are scheduled to take part in the Royal International Air Tattoo and the Farnborough International Air Show in the U.K. before returning home on July 17.
