Outstanding students from Oman have rounded up a tour of Korea and participated in the Yeosu Expo.

The Omani Embassy welcomed the 40 students from various colleges at the Sultan Qaboos University for their trip here from June 3 ― 17.

About 20 of the students participated in the activities of the Omani Day at the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea during their stay.

The group also visited South Korean landmarks such as historical palaces and heritage villages as well as scientific and academic institutes. They also visited the dry docks and heavy industry sites in Busan.

An embassy spokesperson said that another group of about 38 students is expected to visit Korea in July in order to learn about the country’s distinctive development story and to find out more about Korean achievements in scientific, industrial, technological and cultural fields.
