The 2012 Asia Series will be held in Busan, according to the Korea Baseball Organization on Wednesday.

KBO Secretary-General Yang Hae-young and Busan’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau Director-General Lee Kab-joon held a signing ceremony to host the East Asian baseball tournament this November.

The Lotte Giants will host the tournament from Nov. 8-11 at Busan Sajik Baseball Stadium with league champions from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Australia and China.

This will be the first time Korea, 2011 champions, will host the series since it started in 2005. The Samsung Lions beat out Japan’s Softbank Hawks 5-3 in Taiwan last year.

Before 2011, Japan largely dominated the tournament, hosting the series for four years and winning the series four times.

Every club plays a game against the other five and the two with the best win-loss ratio advance to the finals.
