Bi-racial basketball star Lee Seung-jun will be joining the Dongbu Promy, officials announced Monday.

Dongbu had gone up against the SK Knights in a lottery to pick the hulking 204-centimeter forward. The KBL held a lottery for half-Korean players on Monday.

Both teams had presented Lee with the maximum salary of 500 million won ($439,000), set by the Korean Basketball League.

“We waited for three years to pick up Lee Seung-jun,” said Dongbu coach Kang Dong-hee.

Kang mentioned Lee’s height and speed as his greatest attributes. Lee first entered the KBL under his foreign name, Eric Sandrin, in 2007.
