A female teacher was beaten by a female student and fainted at a middle school in Busan.
According to the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education, a female teacher, whose name was withheld, was scolding the student for her inappropriate outfit in the hallway of the school on Monday morning.
As the teacher attempted to drag her to the teacher’s room by the hand, the student started shouting abusive language to the teacher, slapped her and grabbed her by the hair.
Apparently shocked by the student’s violence, the teacher suddenly collapsed on the floor and was taken to a hospital by a 119 rescue team.
The school said it will hold a student guidance committee and decided on the extent of the punishment on the student on Tuesday.

2일 부산시교육청에 따르면 1일 오전 부산 A중학교에서 여교사 B씨가 이 학교 2학년 C양을 3층 복도에서 꾸짖다 오히려 학생으로부터 폭행을 당했다.

여교사는 C양을 교무실로 데려가기 위해 손을 끌자 학생이 손을 뿌리친 뒤 욕설을 하기 시작했고, 여교사의 뺨을 때리고 머리채를 휘어잡는 지경까지 이어졌다.
갑작스레 학생에게 폭행을 당한 여교사는 실신했고 곧바로 119 구조대에 도움을 받아 인근 병원으로 옮겨져 치료를 받았으며 별다른 외상은 입지 않았다.
A중학교는 2일 오후 선도위원회를 열어 이번 교사 폭행사고와 관련해 C양의 징계 수위를 논의할 예정이다.(코리아헤럴드 김윤미기자)
