Samsung chairman says he will not get involved in inheritance suit

Samsung Electronics chairman Lee Kun-hee said Wednesday he will no longer get involved in the inheritance suit with his siblings, apologizing for publicly expressing his anger on the case.
While meeting reporters at Gimpo International Airport before leaving for Europe, Lee said, “I will leave the suit up to the legal professionals and only focus on nurturing Samsung Group.”
Lee’s comments come after he fiercely criticized his elder brother Maeng-hee and sister Sook-hee for filing inheritance suits against him earlier. The two, among some others, said they did not receive their portions of stocks which formerly belonged to their father and Samsung founder Lee Byung-chull.

삼성 이건희 회장 “소송 관여 않겠다”
삼성 이건희 회장이 2일 오전 유럽 시장 점검을 위해 김포공항을 통해 출국하며 앞으로 소송 문제에 대해서는 일체 관여하지 않겠다고 밝혔다..
이 회장은 출국 전 기자들과 만나 “세계적으로 다 불경기지만 특히 유럽이 문제가 많아서 그 상황을 직접 보고 들으러 간다”고 말했다. 이 회장은 스페인을 시작으로 4주간 유럽 수개국을 둘러볼 계획이다.
그는 형인 이맹희 전 제일비료 회장 등과 소송과 관련해 강경한 발언을 한데 대해 “저번에 사적인 문제로 개인감정을 좀 드러내서 국민 여러분께 죄송하게 생각하고 있다”며 사과했다.
그러면서 “앞으로 소송 문제에 대해서는 일체 관여하지 않고, 전문가한테 맡기고 나는 삼성그룹을 키우는데만 전념하려고 생각하고 있다”고 덧붙였다.
