Oman has pledged to introduce its geography, history and culture to the world by taking part in next year’s Yeosu Expo.
The Sultanate has set up a ministerial committee to supervise its preparations for the Yeosu 2012 international exposition to run in the South Jeolla Province costal city under the slogan of “Living Oceans and Coasts.”
The Omani Sultanate has announced that it will create a 786 square-meter pavilion under the theme of “Care for Marine Wealth” to demonstrate Sultan Qaboos’ desire to protect the environment and preserve natural resources. The pavilion will be divided into several sections with its design taking inspiration from the Omani environment to showcase the country’s pioneering role in marine science and exploration.
There are now 104 national and nine international participants registered to take part in the Expo to run from May 12 to Aug, 12 next year.
