Norway Day, the annual social event for the Norwegian Business community organized by the embassy has been announced.

It will be held on Oct. 28 at the Grand Ball Room at Paradise Hotel in Busan.

This year, the event will be hosted during Kormarin when Norwegian business presence and interests are at their strongest.

The embassy hopes that by hosting the event, they will create a good opportunity for Norwegian companies to develop and strengthen their ties and business cooperation with their Korean partners.

Tickets cost 200,000 won a person and reservations will be accepted until Oct. 20.

The theme of this year’s Norway Day is “Rasteplass.” Norway is a country of long and winding roads, and this Norwegian word means a place along the road where you can stop and have a rest. At these rest-stops, there are often tables and benches where Norwegians enjoy “nistepakke,” or a packed lunch.

Rasteplass is a place to renew one’s energy, to take a rest, eat, enjoy the view and take in new impressions.

There will be music by Mari Persen and dancers from Sun Dance Company.
