Mando names chief executive

Halla Group, the parent company of Mando Corp., has named Shin Sa-hyun the company’s next chief executive officer, the company announced Friday.

Following the change, Mando vice president Byun Jung-soo will be in charge of auto parts and the company’s ice hockey team. The officials said there were 41 personnel changes this month.

The major reshuffle comes as Mando greets the 50th anniversary of its establishment on Oct. 1. All future personnel change will be made at this time of year, the company said.

Mando is the country’s largest auto parts maker, and it is the main supplier of Hyundai Motor Co. Shin majored in management at Korea University and was promoted to managing director and president of Mando’s Seoul operations in 2010.
