KTO opens overseas internship program

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization said they will seek young jobseekers interested in the tourism industry for its overseas internship program.

A total of 33 internships will be offered and those selected will participate in a six-month internship program at tourism companies in China, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia. They will be working at hotel lobbies, restaurants and travel agencies.

Interns will receive a monthly allowance, as well as travel insurance and part of flight ticket fees. Those aged between 18 and 29 are eligible for the internship and proof of military service or proof of exemption from military service is required. Applicant should download the form at http://globalintern.visitkorea.or.kr and send required documents via email to globalintern@knto.or.kr by Oct. 10.
