Entries are open until Oct. 2 for the 2011 Busan Global Center Photo Contest.

Photographers entering are asked to submit photos that show the city’s international side under the theme “opening up to differences and striving for harmony.”

First prize is 1 million won, followed by second and third prizes of 600,000 won and 300,000 won. There is also a 300,000 won prize for the most popular photo and another 46 entrants will receive a gift prize.

The 50 winning photos will be displayed in the Busan Global Center Lounge from Oct. 24.

Digital color and black-and-white photos are accepted and there is no entry fee. Files must be at least 800x600 pixels in size.

To enter, email busanglobalcenter@gmail.com with the file name saved in the format “name_title.jpg,” along with your name and a description of the photograph in no more than 150 words.
