A Seoul comedy group is inviting people to chuckle for charity at a gig in Itaewon this weekend.

Seoul City Improv is to host a comedy night at Roofers Bar on Saturday, with all proceeds going to help underprivileged kids’ education in Korea. The comedy night to start at 9 p.m. includes “Whose Line is it Anyway?” style improv comedy as well as some games in Korean. Tickets are 5,000 won on the door, with all funds going to Hae Sin Orphanage, which suffered damage to its building during this summer’s heavy rains.

SCI member Brad Curtin said: “We‘re very happy to help out whenever we can to a worthy cause.

"We have to cover t-shirts, posters, rehearsal space and a few things like that, but if we can afford it, we help charity.

"This time we hope to raise around 500,000 won for underprivileged children.”

The group previously raised funds to help relief efforts following the Japanese tsunami.
