Girl commits suicide after being assigned to different school from her friends

A 17-year-old in Daejeon committed suicide at her apartment on Tuesday afternoon.
She was discovered by her neighbor. Although the student was taken to a hospital, she was pronounced dead soon after.
The anonymous teenager left a message in her room which reads “I don’t want to go to school.”
Investigators so far revealed that the girl, who had refused to go to school since March, was stressed about being allocated to a different school from her friends. She had also developed anorexia, the police said.
The police currently investigating for other details based on her family’s testimonies.

(대전=연합뉴스) 박주영 기자 = 23일 오후 6시35분께 대전시 중구 태평동 모 아파트 1층 화단에 이 아파트에 사는 A(17)양이 피를 흘리며 쓰러져 있는 것을 이웃 주민이 발견해 병원으로 옮겼으나 숨졌다.
주민 B(40.여)씨는 “창밖에서 ‘쿵’ 하는 소리가 들려 나가보니 여자애가 쓰러져 있어 119에 신고했다”고 말했다.
A양의 방 창문은 열려 있었으며 방 안에서는 “학교에 가기 싫다”고 쓰인 쪽지가 발견됐다.
조사결과 A양은 친구들과 다른 고등학교를 배정받고 난 뒤 스트레스로 거식증세를 호소해왔으며, 지난 3월부터는 등교를 거부해온 것으로 알려졌다.
경찰은 유족들의 진술 등을 토대로 정확한 사망 경위를 조사중이다.
