Man kills soldier on vacation with umbrella

A man accidently killed his soldier friend on vacation with an umbrella after having an argument with a passerby, Busan Geumjeong Police Station announced.

The man, only known by the surname Kim, was with his naval serviceman friend near a convenience store at Busan on Sunday.

The two got involved with an argument with a passerby named Park for an unknown reason. When the quarrel became tense, Kim threw his umbrella at the pedestrian.

However, the umbrella hit his friend in the eye instead. Although the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, he was declared dead on Tuesday.

In addition to the severe wound in his right eye, he suffered a head injury when falling down.

The police had applied for an arrest warrant against Kim, while performing autopsy of the deceased for a further investigation.

휴가군인, 친구가 던진 우산에 눈찔려 사망

부산에서 휴가 나온 군인이 친구가 던진 우산에 눈을 찔리는 바람에 이틀 만에 숨지는 안타까운 사건이 발생했다.

17일 부산 금정경찰서에 따르면 해군 이병인 A(20) 씨는 지난 14일 오전 6시쯤 부산 금정구 모 편의점 앞에서 친구인 B(20) 씨가 던진 우산에 오른쪽 눈을 찔려 병원에서 치료를 받던 중 의식을 회복하지 못한 채 16일 오후 4시쯤 숨졌다. A 씨는 눈에 심한 상처를 입었고, 넘어지는 과정에서 뇌 손상을 당한 것으로 알려졌다.

당시 A 씨는 B 씨 등 친구 2명과 함께 있다가 B 씨가 행인 C(27) 씨와 승강이를 벌이던 중 B 씨가 던진 우산에 변을 당했다.

경찰은 B 씨에 대해 상해치사 혐의로 구속영장을 신청하고 A 씨의 정확한 사인을 가리기 위해 부검하기로 했다.

부산 모 대학에 다니다가 올 1월 입대, 경기도 평택에서 해군으로 복무 중인 A 씨는 휴가를 나와 친구들과 술을 마신 뒤 귀가하다가 어이없는 변을 당한 것으로 드러났다.
