Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction Co.’s second quarter sales came in at 1.48 trillion won ($1.4 billion), rising 21.17 percent from a year ago, the company posted in a regulatory filing on Monday.

Over the same period, the company’s operating profits fell 11.68 percent to 144.5 billion won while its net profits soared 158.04 percent to come in at 158.3 billion won.

Compared to the first quarter, however, Doosan Heavy’s sales fell 34.19 percent, while operating profits declined 3.02 percent.

The company said that the drop in comparison to the first three months of the year was caused by the exclusion of Doosan Engineering and Construction’s figures from the second quarter of the year.
