Super Sketch, an event run by Super Color Super blending art and music, is expanding.

The event, which features bands playing under projectors of live drawing, shadow puppets and other artistic endeavors has formed its own spin-off group.

The aim is for this new group of artists to produce its own stand-alone output, including music videos, films and magazines.

Acting as an arm of Super Color Super, the group is already working on a music video for the Korean band Wagwak for online promotion. Super Color Super’s Sean Maylone says other bands and labels have also expressed an interest.

The Super Sketch collective is also offering bands the chance to hire screen printing services and individual artists to design promotional merchandise.

Run by Super Color Super, the aim is for artists and musicians to work together to produce inexpensive, high-quality screen-printed t-shirts. Custom embroidery will also be offered.

The event will also now be held in Daegu and Gwangju, as well as the current Seoul and Busan. However Maylone does not expect the events to become more frequent as each one requires a team of artists 3-4 months to set up.
