The British Embassy and the Business Institute of Sustainable Development have signed an agreement to collaborate on the identification of carbon reduction technology options for key industrial sectors of Korea.

The project was developed in collaboration with BISD and the British Embassy Climate Change team in order to help major Korean industries find options for delivering emission reductions.

A series of conferences and seminars will be held to share interim findings and discuss what can be done to deliver necessary reductions.

A small number of participants will have the opportunity to travel to the United Kingdom to meet U.K. policy makers and members of industry.

The project will be launched in July and completed early next year.

The findings from the project will be shared with the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry members and policy makers and are expected to serve as the basis for constructive discussions on what can be done to deliver emissions reductions to tackle climate change.
