Hyundai Automotive Group named Hyundai Amco president Jung Soo-hyun to head Hyundai Engineering and Construction.
The auto group acquired Hyundai E&C, the nation’s top builder in April. Hyundai Amco is the construction affiliate of the automotive group.

The new president, 59, is a veteran who has worked in the construction industry for more than 30 years since he graduated from Seoul National University. He took charge of Hyundai Amco earlier this year.
The automotive group also promoted Sohn Hyo-won, vice president of Hyundai E&C, to head Hyundai Amco.
News reports raised the possibility of a merger between Hyundai E&C and Hyundai Amco, but Hyundai Motor Group denied the reports.
