Cathay Pacific Getaway Surprise

Cathay Pacific will offer “Getaway Surprise” tickets for flights leaving Incheon or Busan for Chicago or New York from Oct. 1 to Dec. 15, to those who purchase tickets online at www.cathaypacific.com/kr between 10 a.m., May 16 and 10 a.m., May 19. The promotional flight tickets stopover in Hong Kong. Tickets bound for Chicago are priced at 879,000 won and those for New York, 929,000 won.

Hana Tour offers ‘Voluntour’ to Mongolia

Hana Tour has launched “Voluntour” for travelers heading to Mongolia. The one-time-only, four-nights-five-days package, departing on June 25, includes visits to cultural and historical sites in the country and a day’s volunteering with children at Songinokhairkhan district in Ulaanbaatar, the tourism agency said. The package is in association with international humanitarian NGO Good Neighbors. The package is priced at 1,449,000 won, excluding tax. For more information, call 1577-1233.

Westin Chosun reopens upper floors

The Westin Chosun Seoul said it will reopen its upper floors 9-18 on May 18, following four months of renovation work. Room rates will remain the same this year, the hotel’s spokesperson said. The Lobby, the Ninth Gate Grill, Lobby Lounge, Banquet Rooms and Fitness Center also underwent renovation. The interior was designed by American architect Adam D. Tihany. The Ninth Gate Grill has changed from fine dining to international brasserie style cuisine.

Hotels.com launches mobile apps

Hotel booking website Hotels.com has launched two new smartphone applications for iPhone and Android phones. Available in over 30 languages, the app allows travelers to search and book more than 20,000 accommodation deals from over 135,000 hotels around the world, the company said.
