The Korea Baseball Organization signed an agreement with a Korean sponsor group of the International Vaccine Institute to join its efforts to improve the health of children around the world, the institute said Thursday.

Under the agreement, the KBO will support promotional events to raise funds for the IVI program for children.

The KBO will put an IVI logo on tickets to its official games including all-star games and on its players’ hats in a bid to promote the IVI program. KBO member players will also donate their belongings such as uniforms and baseballs with their signatures on them.

The IVI is an United Nations body headquartered in Seoul dedicated to developing and introducing new and improved vaccines for poor people, especially children in developing countries.
