A baby was safely born after her mother was shot to death, thanks to help from the woman’s nine-year-old son, the Daily Mail reported.
According to police, Mr. and Mrs. Latham were arguing with a man, who eventually shot both. While the father is in critical condition at Ohio State University Medical Center, the mother, who was seven months pregnant, did not make it.
However, Riverside Methodist Hospital was able to save the unborn baby girl, who people now call “Miracle Danielle.” She is now being taken care of in a neonatal intensive care unit, according to ABC6.
The Latham’s oldest son stayed calm after the event, and called 911 for help. Mrs. Latham had three children in addition to the newborn; aged four, eight, and nine.
Meanwhile, the man who shot the couple remains unidentified.
