Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas

The hotel said French hotelier Kamal Chaoui has taken office as general manager of Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas and InterContinental Seoul COEX as of Feb. 9. The 50-year-old spent a great part of his hospitality career with Hyatt International Hotels. With over 26 years of hotel management experience, Chaoui has broad understanding of Asian culture having spent most of his time in the region, hotel officials said.


Novotel Ambassador Gangnam

The hotel’s buffet restaurant, the SQUARE, offers special discounts for graduating and new students through March 13. A 50 percent discount is available on one person of three or more people, while one guest eats free when seven or more people dine. French chef Gerard Mosiniak provides cuisines of Korean, Chinese, Japanese and ethnic styles. Breakfast is 29,700 won, lunch, 49,500 won on weekdays and 51,000 won on weekends. Grand Hyatt Seoul

The hotel launches “Winemaker’s Table,” its first exclusive and private dinner with wine experts, on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. The first event will be hosted by Mineira Torres, the owner of French winery Bodegas Jean Leon. An exceptional four-course menu will be offered. Winemaker’s Table is limited to 20 people, to ensure a direct and personal interface with the host expert. The Westin Chosun Seoul

In celebration of the reopening of the hotel’s restaurants ― Hong Yuan, Sushi Cho, Vecchia e Nuovo and Aria ― the Westin Chosun Seoul offers special events and discounts through April 30. A restaurant voucher worth 50,000 won will be given to those who visit the restaurants more than three times and a 100,000 won voucher will be given to those who visit the restaurants more than five times during the promotion period. The hotel’s Japanese restaurant is holding a two-month spring celebration called Hanasaki Matsuri. Running through April 30, the Hanasaki Matsuri festival will introduce fresh spring vegetables to the a la carte and multi-course set menus. The chef’s Special Spring multi-course menu, priced at 59,000 won, will feature various dishes including grilled seasonal fish, steamed seasonal fish and vegetables, mountain vegetable tempura, sashimi and more.
