Turtle on wheels

A male turtle named Zvilka lost the use of his back legs after he got run over by a lawn mower. The serious injury fractured his spine and disabled his back legs.

Now he is able to move again with the help of wheels, British newspaper the Telegraph reported Wednesday. According to the report, the Israeli Wild Animal Hospital attached wheels to his abdomen to help his recovery.

Zvilka still has a few bandages on his shell, but is now mobile again. It is hoped he will fully recover and can be returned to his old life in the wild once more.

이스라엘 텔아비브 인근 라맛 간 사파리의 야생동물 병원에서 치료받고 있는 이 거북이는 잔디 깍는 기계 때문에 껍질과 척추에 큰 부상을 당해 뒷다리를 사용할 수 없게 됐다. 병원측은 거북이가 다시 움직일 수 있도록 배에 바퀴를 달아주었다.
