M.K International forms strong business base in Cote d’Ivoire

Jung Hae-jung, president of M.K International Inc. and co-chairman of the Asia-Africa Business Council, recently made a stronger business base in Abidjan, Cote d’ Ivoire, the so called Paris of the Economic Community Of West African States.

The businessman is behind a development of affordable housing for lower income people and an industrial park producing 20 different products with local prominent partners.

The total project cost is approximately $128 million, with a construction period of five years in Abidjan and the neighboring areas of Assinie and Grand Bassam.

M.K International Inc. has a long history in Africa. Since 1981 it has been involved in works including industrial engineering, manufacturing, international trading and international financing.

As one of the Korean pioneers of the African business initiative in early 1980, M.K has high recognition by international organizations, especially by the World Bank Group and United Nations, as being successful for ownership and partnership with Africa.

“Strong local networks give firms an advantage for investment. M.K International Inc. Korea, a medium-sized engineering and trade firm, has several subsidiary companies in African countries; all are backed by top management’s wide acquaintances within African diplomatic circles,” reported the World Bank Group.
