Musical actress Kim So-hyun has been chosen as the goodwill ambassador for World Stage Design 2009 which is running through Sept. 26, a WSD spokesperson said on Monday.
"To make WSD 2009 known to theater-goers in Korea, we picked Kim who is a leading musical actress and also an important figure in the stage design industry," the WDS spokesperson said.
World Stage Design, hosted by the Organization of International Scenographers, Technicians & Theater Architects, is one of the world`s largest events of the kind that takes place once every four years.
Kim majored in classical singing at Seoul National University`s School of Music. She made her debut starring in mega-hit musical "The Phantom of the Opera" in 2001. She also starred in other shows including "Grease," "Jekyll & Hyde" and "My Fair Lady."
