The Philadelphia Phillies are hopeful that Korean relief pitcher Park Chan-ho will be able to pitch in the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

The 36-year-old right-hander, sidelined since Sept. 16 with a hamstring strain, has been rehabbing at the defending world champion`s spring-training complex in Clearwater, Florida.

"He would have a good chance (of returning)," manager Charlie Manuel said. "I hear that he`s doing pretty good. It`s what our trainers tell me."

Park - a former All-Star who has pitched for five different teams in his 15-year major-league career - is 3-3 with a 4.43 ERA this season.

A member of the Korean national team for the 2006 World Baseball Classic, Park is 120-95 with a 4.35 ERA in his career, with his best season coming in 2000, when he went 18-10 with the Dodgers.
