삼성 폴더블 스마트폰 출시 임박?...‘갤럭시X’ 상표출원
[더인베스터(코리아헤럴드)=김영원기자] 삼성전자가 최근 폴더블 스마트폰 ‘갤럭시 X’에 대한 상표출원을 완료한 것으로 28일 확인됐다. 상표출원은 제출 출시 이전 상표권 취득을 위한 절차인데 일반적으로 스마트폰 제조사들은 정보유출을 우려해 신제품 출시에 임박해 출원 신청을 한다. 삼성의 폴더블 스마트폰에 대한 루머는 지난 몇 년 간 끊이지 않았다. 그 동안 유출된 시제품들은 대부분 화면을 안쪽으로 접는 제품이었는데 실제 출시될 갤럭시X는 바깥쪽으로 접는 ‘아웃폴딩’ 방식이 유력할 것이라는 전망이다. 접었을 때는 약 5-6인치 화면의 스마트폰으로 펼치면 약 7-8인치의 태블릿PC로 사용할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 업계 관계자들에 따르면 초도 생산물량은 약 10만대로 생산은 빠르면 올해 7월부터 시작된다. 갤럭시X는 갤럭시 노트8과 함께 올해 9월 독일 베를린에서 열리는 IFA가전전시회 공개가 유력시되고 있다.
