Also known by the pen name Gyeomjae, Jeong Seon was one of the artists that initiated Korean style paintings -- which departed from Chinese styles -- during the Joseon dynasty. He left a great impact on Korean art. At this exhibition, visitors can find more than 140 pieces of Jeong Seon`s work, including the artist`s famous idealized landscapes and the "Album of Banquet for the Elderly in the Bugwon Garden" which is being shown to the public for the first time. The exhibition runs through Nov. 22 in the Fine Arts Gallery. The museum is located at Ichon Subway Station, Line No. 4, Exit 2. "Traveling with the Soul -- Chinese Pottery Figures": The National Museum of Korea is hosting an exhibition of 40 pieces of Chinese pottery from the period of the North and South Dynasties to the Song Dynasty.
