Bae Yong-jun book gets advance deal

Bae Yong-jun`s management company has inked a deal with a Japanese publishing firm to sell the Hallyu star`s book in Japan.

The book "Travel in search of Korea`s Beauty" will be on sale in Japan in late September. .

According to Keyeast, a cultural contents group which represents Bae`s management company, Boundaries of Forest, said an estimated 800 million won worth of advanced copies have been sold to a Japanese publishing firm.

It took the 36-year-old "Winter Sonata" actor a year traveling all over Korea to chronicle his experience for the travelogue.

The book is a collection of about 200 photos Bae took during his travels and the essays he wrote. Topics include traditional culture indigenous to the country from its cuisines, handicrafts, Templestays, and traditional dress-making.

Bae is set to make an appearance alongside celebrated Korean artists whose works he had covered for the book in a release ceremony at the National Museum of Korea in Yongsan, Seoul on Sept. 22 followed by another at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on the following week.

The book will be released in Korea Sept. 23.
