Ha Ri-su opens transgender club

Transgender star Ha Ri-su has opened up a transgender club, "Mix-trans" at Apgujeong-dong in southern Seoul. On May 13, she posted the news on her personal homepage.

In her blog, Ha said that she was "trying to make a better place for many people who have hardships like me." As an owner of the club, she advertised "Mix-trans" by posting club pictures on the website.

A series of recent suicides of transgender idols, including Jang Chae-won and Kim Ji-whu, seems to have affected the club opening. News reports said Ha opened the club to help the "outcasts" to ensure their place in society.

Ha says she is determined to make the club a popular tourist spot for all visitors.
