Children aspire to be like Kim Yu-na

Who do you think the hottest celebrity is in Korea right now? For children, it is none other than "Queen Yu-na" who won this year`s world championship title with almost flawless performances last month.



In the second Korea Kids` Choice Awards, an annual online survey conducted by kids entertainment channel Nick Korea, Kim Yu-na won the "Wannabe Award" as a majority of participants, 3,486 children, said they wanted to become like her.



Idol group Big Bang and comedian Yoo Jae-seok received the "Male Singer" and "Gagman" awards, garnering nearly 70 percent of votes -- 4,907 votes and 4,693 votes, respectively -- for the second consecutive year. Girl`s Generation, a popular nine-member girl group, grabbed the "Female Singer" award with 3,184 votes, or 58 percent of support.



The poll, which is a Korean version of the Nickelodeon Kids` Choice Awards, was held online from March 9 to April 9. Some 7,000 young Koreans cast their vote on a total of seven categories.
