[JUNIOR HERALD] Jang Mi-ran *aims to break world records

Korea`s weightlifting superstar Jang Mi-ran said she aims to break the world records she set last year.



Jang *revealed this year`s goal during a news conference at the Korea National Training Center in Taeneung, northern Seoul, on Jan. 21.



She set three world records to win women`s over 75-kg weightlifting competition during last year`s Beijing Olympics.



Jang`s gold medal was the first for Korea in the women`s super-heavyweight *category. She also said she will try to achieve her *fourth consecutive win of the world weightlifting championship.



This year`s world championship will be held in Goyang, west of Seoul, from Nov. 17 to 29.
