Students who cheat during the national university entrance exam will not only have their test scores annulled, but may also be suspended from taking the test again for a year.

The National Assembly`s education committee made a proposal yesterday to regulate students from cheating during the national university entrance exam, scheduled for Nov. 23. The bill was handed to the Assembly`s Legislation-Judiciary Committee and will be processed on Nov. 16.

Cheaters would also be required to complete a 40-hour training session conducted by the Education Ministry.

Metal or radar detectors will be used from this year exam to detect cellular phones, which were used in an organized cheating ring last year.
