Asiana to provide National Theater shows

Asiana Airlines, the nation`s second-largest air carrier, yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Theater of Korea for promoting Korean culture through in-flight TV monitors, the company said in a statement. The air carrier plans to play a total of 16 recorded performances by resident companies in the state-run theater.

The two sides have also agreed to offer 30 percent discounts on tickets to a play by the National Drama Company for Asiana Club members starting next month. The drama company plans to unveil "Doongdoong Nakrang Doong," a re-interpretation of the classic tale of "Princess Nakrang and Prince Ho-dong."
