Hyundai E&C wins $190m Qatar order

Hyundai Engineering and Construction, the country`s largest builder, has signed a $190 million deal to build a fertilizer plant in southeastern Qatar, the company said yesterday.

The fertilizer plant is planned in Mesaieed, some 30 kilometers south of Doha, it added. Under the deal with Qatar Fertilizer Co., the Korean firm plans to finish building the plant by Sept. 2012.

Hyundai E&C has so far reaped $3.96 billion of overseas order this year. It plans to win orders worth $6.5 billion this year, the company said.
