Young Global Leaders attending the World Economic Forum for the Asian region met with Prime Minister Han Seung-soo as part of the Meet the Leader session on Friday, the event`s organizers said yesterday.
The Young Global Leaders are young professionals selected by the World Economic Forum. About 20 Young Global Leaders including Rep. Won Hee-ryong of the Grand National Party, Hyosung executive vice president Cho Hyun-sang, Japanese politician Motohisa Furukawa and CNN Asia Pacific`s managing editor Ellana Lee attended the session.
Meet the Leader is a session where leading figures from political and economic arenas discuss various issues with the Young Global Leaders.
Aside from the Korean prime minister, managing director general of Asia Development Bank and Standard Chartered chief executive Peter Sands attended Meet the Leader sessions.
At the meeting with Han, the attending Young Global Leaders discussed a variety of topics ranging from the global economic crisis and its effect on Asia to North Korea`s nuclear program and the South Korean government`s green growth policies.
